Burning the House Down...Obamas Last Stand

What a child. A tantrum pouty child. Yes Barak Hussein Obama is quickly descending down to the dregs of Presidential Has-beens.

Obama's Legacy is what Obama is really lusting after, and this will be good for a few Liberal Left Loons, however for mainstream America, he is quickly becoming a bad taste in our mouths.Which is really too bad as almost everyone had some hope for Obama. We, for the most part, wanted him to succeed.

He didn't. Although he claimed he did. It took Donald Trump to scratch the record and start a new conversation.

The last days of Obamas Administration are sure to be anger and angst filled, as Obama continues to piss off allies and non-allies alike, steal lands for government set asides and do everything in his power to make President Trumps start to be difficult.

You have no honor Obama, you have no care for your fellow man, just yourself and your progressive liberal imbeciles.

Lets look at some of the carnage from Obama

First of all, it seems that Russia and Turkey have brokered a cease fire deal...without the US.

This is a slap in the face to Obama and proves that the rest of the world doesn't need Obama to engage cease fires.

After all, Obama wants everyone to think of him as a man of peace, right?

Cease-fire brokered by Russia and Turkey begins across Syria

A cease-fire announced by the Syrian government went into effect across the country early Friday as part of a broader deal that includes a return to peace talks after more than five years of a war.
Forces loyal to Syrian President Bashar al-Assad reestablished control over the northern city of Aleppo earlier this month, forcing rebels to flee what was once their largest stronghold and handing the government a victory that appeared to bring the war’s endgame into view.

The Assad government, backed by Russia and Iran, is now in its strongest position since the start of the war, while rebel groups are mostly boxed into the northwestern province of Idlib and hold no strategically significant urban areas.

Now we move to the "Russian Hacking" issue

Obama under pressure to prove Russian interference in election

The Obama administration is under intense pressure to release evidence confirming Russian interference in the presidential election before leaving office.

The administration up until now has provided little documentation to back up its official October assessment that the Russian government was attempting to interfere in the U.S. election.

Nor has it corroborated subsequent leaks from anonymous officials contending that the CIA believes the campaign was an attempt by Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure Donald Trump’s victory.
President Obama has ordered the intelligence community to produce a complete review of its findings before Trump takes office on Jan. 20. The White House has said it will make as much of the report public as it can.

But officials have warned that the document will contain “highly sensitive and classified information” and it is unclear how much concrete evidence it will be able to release.
Releasing any documentation of Russian interference would be a slap in the face to Trump, who has rejected assertions that the Kremlin was involved in the hacks on the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

The president-elect and his team have treated any suggestion of Russian involvement as an attack on the legitimacy of his election, and Republican leaders in Congress have treaded carefully on the issue.

The firestorm ignited by the CIA’s assessment has spurred calls from both parties for the administration to provide proof of Russian meddling.

In late November, seven Democrats on the Senate Intelligence Committee urged the White House to declassify “additional information concerning the Russian Government and the U.S. election.”
As of last week, they had not yet received a response.

The House Intelligence Committee earlier this month demanded a briefing on the subject but was rebuffed by intelligence leaders, who said they will not brief Congress again until the completion of the report for the White House.

 re documentation.
Vice journalist Jason Leopold and Ryan Shapiro, a Ph.D. candidate at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), filed a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit against the CIA, the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security and the office of the director of national intelligence seeking records pertaining to Russian interference.
And even Trump’s transition team has said the White House should provide definitive proof to back up its claims.

"If the CIA Director [John] Brennan and others at the top are serious about turning over evidence … they should do that," Trump aide Kellyanne Conway said earlier this month. "They should not be leaking to the media. If there's evidence, let's see it."

Which leads to this....note the next to last paragraph.

Investigators linked the Russian government to hacks of Democratic Party organizations.

The document makes clear reference to the hacks of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta, though it does not mention either by name.
The 13-page report provides technical details regarding tools and infrastructure used by Russian civilian and military intelligence services to “compromise and exploit networks and endpoints associated with the U.S. election, as well as a range of U.S. Government, political, and private sector entities.” (See the entire report below.)

The report, known as a “Joint Analysis Report” or JAR, refers to the Russian hacking campaign as “Grizzly Steppe.”

It comes as part of a slate of retaliatory measures against Russia issued Thursday by the Obama administration in response to the hacks, and expands on a joint statement issued by the two agencies in October, formally attributing the attacks to Russia.

In the October statement, officials described the the hacks and subsequent publication of stolen emails on WikiLeaks as an attempt to “interfere” with the U.S. election that is “consistent with the Russian-directed efforts,” but provided no evidence to support their assessment.

President-elect Donald Trump has denied that Russia was involved in the hacks, and Obama has been under pressure to provide proof.

The luxurious, 45-acre compound in Maryland being shut down for alleged Russian espionage

On Thursday afternoon, the Obama administration announced its long-awaited retaliation for what has been characterized as Russian interference in November's presidential election.
Among the wide-ranging measures, the White House announced that the State Department would be closing two Russian-owned compounds — one in Maryland and one in New York — that it says were used by Russian personnel for intelligence-related purposes. It is also declaring 35 Russians “persona non grata” for their alleged role in intelligence operations.

How hidden were these alleged spy compounds? At least in the case of Maryland, the answer is simple: not very.

The compound in Maryland sits on around 45 acres of land at Pioneer Point, a peninsula where the Corsica and Chester rivers merge — around a 90-minute drive from downtown Washington, by the Eastern Shore town of Centreville in Queen Anne's County.

The site was purchased by the Soviet government in 1972, and became something of a resort for Soviets living in the United States. It is the former estate of John J. Raskob, a former executive for DuPont and General Motors perhaps best known as the builder of the Empire State Building. The Soviets later added to the estate by making a deal with the State Department, which received two properties in Moscow in return.

At the time of its purchase, there was some resistance to the sale of the building to the Soviets, with the local newspaper reporting there were “fears of nuclear submarines surfacing in the Chester River to pick up American secrets and defectors.”

But by 1974, the New York Times reported that many locals had been won over, with the help of dinner parties and gifts of vodka and caviar. “As far as neighbors are concerned you couldn't ask for better,” Joe Handley, a former estate manager for Raskob, told The Washington Post in 1979. “They don't bother anybody.”

A reporter from the local Star Democrat newspaper in Easton visited the site in 1987 — in large part because of the long-standing rumors that it was being used for espionage. The resulting article, also published in The Post, noted the tall chain-link fence outside the compound and the video cameras monitoring the gate, but also the lime-green bungalows, swimming pools and numerous tennis courts.

“Tomorrow we have a game,” one tennis player identified as Yevgeny told the reporter. “We have a tournament with the International Monetary Fund. They have a beautiful team. But this year, God knows who will win.”

After the turmoil of the collapse of the Soviet Union, Pioneer Point was bought by the Russian Federation — at the time, the Associated Press reported its value was $3 million. Local residents told the AP that they didn't have any problems with the Russians who visited the compound.
''I live down the road from them. We fish and crab with them. There's usually one that speaks English for the group,'' a woman named as Bonnie Delph told the AP.

The compound has been in the news very little since then. Nine years ago, the Russian ambassador to the United States, Yuri Ushakov, invited a reporter from Washington Life magazine to tour the grounds, explaining that for him it was like the traditional Russian summer house, or dacha, he was used to back home. “Because we have such a hectic life in Washington, we need a place to hide for a while,” his wife, Svetlana, was quoted as saying.

A man who answered the phone for a number listed online for the Pioneer Point compound said it was a wrong number, before adding that he did not speak English.

On Thursday, U.S. officials would not confirm the location of the New York compound being shut down — saying only that it was a 14-acre property on Long Island that had been purchased by the Soviet government in 1954. However, a number of Russia-watching bloggers pointed towards the Killenworth estate on Dosoris Lane in Glen Cove, which acts as the country home for Moscow's delegation to the United Nations. The grand country house was once owned by American philanthropist George Dupont Pratt.

Students Demand...Take A Number For Stupidity

Students Demand...Take A Number For Stupidity.

Even though the Obama Administration is on its way out...can I get a AMEN?  The stupidity lives on.

Not only living on, but thriving and festering on college campuses across the nation.

The latest comes from the University of Maryland. The list is 64 Demand long, and is fragmented towards the racial religious and sexual divide. Nothing new here. The Liberal Left always tries to marginalize white Christianity while expanding everything else.

I would hope that as a taxpaying resident, we can see some push back on using taxpayer monies to fund the ridiculous political correctness in colleges. I would have said higher learning, but that seems to be an oxymoron.

Students at the University of Maryland have released a list of 64 demands in their effort make the campus more amenable to “marginalized student populations.”

The project, known as ProtectUMD, is a collaborative effort between 25 student organizations at the University of Maryland, including Students for Justice in Palestine, Bisexuals at Maryland, and the Black Student Union.

“I think [these demands] are ridiculously easy [to accomplish].”    Tweet This

There are 64 demands across 8 subsets of students—Marginalized, American Indian, Black, Latinx, LGBTQIA+, Muslim, Pro-Palestine, and Undocumented—including scholarships for “students of marginalized communities,” a ban on Columbus Day, beginning every on-campus event with an acknowledgement that “this is Indigenous Land,” that African American professors get tenure, that preferred pronouns are included on rosters, and that “queer diversity training” is required.

Muslim students also want “one room in each major building designated for prayer” and “shuttle services to [the local mosque] for Muslim students to have access to a place of worship.”
Among the Pro-Palestine demands, students want the administration to condemn the “conflation of Pro-Palestinian activism with Anti-Semitism,” claiming that “Pro-Palestinians do not reject the human rights of any group of people.”

No Jewish student organizations have signed onto the list.

Demand #53 calls for the university to actively encourage students to learn about the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions Movement (BDS).

The Pro-Palestine demands are incompatible with the beliefs of the Jewish student organizations on campus, leading the student groups Terps for Israel, the Jewish Student Union, and J Street U to abstain from the project.

Students for Justice in Palestine declined to answer questions from Campus Reform, as did every other organization that was contacted.

“I think [these demands] are ridiculously easy [to accomplish],” said Muslim Student Association member Khaled Nurhssien told The Diamondback.

"We commend the students for their passionate advocacy and for coming together in solidarity on these issues,” a university spokesperson told Campus Reform. “President Loh has convened a group of his staff to thoroughly review the list of demands and make recommendations accordingly. That process is well underway."

The UMD spokesperson declined to answer further questions.

Dead...Thanks Adam and Eve.

December 27, 2016

Dead...thanks Adam and Eve.

Yesterday we all got word that George Michael died.

One of too many celebrities over the past year.

Let's look back a few thousand years and see the three culprits that brought it on all of us.

Let me bring you up to speed. God created man and woman. He named them Adam and Eve, and they were in the Garden of Eden. All was well, no problems, no phone bills, no rising gas prices....just them and God and the animals....and (insert evil music theme) Satan, masquerading as a serpent.

Genesis Chapter 2 verse 15-17 15 Then the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “Of every tree of the garden you may freely eat; 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.”

We then read in Genesis Chapter 3 verse 1-5
Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?”
And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’”
Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

Keep in mind the lie..."You shall surely not die"

Fast foreword to Chapter 5 verse 5:
So all the days that Adam lived were nine hundred and thirty years; and he died.

Man has died ever since.

It is our lot on this round rock. We are born and we die.

This past year we had some notable deaths. Lets review.

Death sucks.

A Cup Of Drunkenness

A Cup Of Drunkenness

Yesterdays non-veto vote at the UN from the United States, sent a clear message to the world at large, they don't regard Israel...at all.

It has been evident through the past eight years that Obama has no love at all for Israel, or the Jewish people. It is a huge conundrum for us Christians here in the States as to why the Jews would even think of backing Obama but they do. Makes no sense to us.

It is also apparent to the Christians that Israel is right in the midst of fulfilling Bible Prophecy.

Lets look at it.

Jesus came and was rejected by His people and nation Israel. God gave the responsibility of sharing His message to followers of Yeshua, Jesus.

God allowed the Romans to lay waste to Jerusalem and He dispersed the Jews across the world. He did not allow His chosen people the Jews to be utterly destroyed. Instead He has given them unique talents to survive while Christ has built His Church over this past 2,000 years.

To the Jew, they have no mind for their Messiah, God says in His word that a blindness has come over the Jew.

Fast forward to 1948. Israel is reborn, from almost 2,000 years of destruction. The land was in a state of desolation.

Mark Twain visited the land in 1867. He wrote about the Jew and the Land. I'll let his words speak

On The Jew

"If the statistics are right, the Jews constitute but one quarter of one percent of the human race.  It suggests a nebulous puff of star dust lost in the blaze of the Milky Way.  Properly, the Jew ought hardly to be heard of, but he is heard of, has always been heard of.  He is as prominent on the planet as any other people, and his importance is extravagantly out of proportion to the smallness of his bulk.

His contributions to the world’s list of great names in literature, science, art, music, finance, medicine and abstruse learning are also very out of proportion to the weakness of his numbers.  He has made a marvelous fight in this world in all ages; and has done it with his hands tied behind him. He could be vain of himself and be excused for it.  The Egyptians, the Babylonians and the Persians rose, filled the planet with sound and splendor, then faded to dream-stuff and passed away; the Greeks and Romans followed and made a vast noise, and they were gone; other people have sprung up and held their torch high for a time but it burned out, and they sit in twilight now, and have vanished.

The Jew saw them all, survived them all, and is now what he always was, exhibiting no decadence, no infirmaties, of age, no weakening of his parts, no slowing of his energies, no dulling of his alert but aggressive mind.  All things are mortal but the Jews; all other forces pass, but he remains.  What is the secret of his immortality? "

- September 1897 (Quoted in The National Jewish Post & Observer, June 6, 1984)

The Land

“ ...[a] desolate country whose soil is rich enough, but is given over wholly to weeds-a silent mournful expanse....A desolation is here that not even imagination can grace with the pomp of life and action....We never saw a human being on the whole route....There was hardly a tree or a shrub anywhere. Even the olive and the cactus, those fast friends of the worthless soil, had almost deserted the country.”

- 1867 (Quoted in Mark Twain, The Innocents Abroad. London: 1881)

God says to the Land

Ezekiel 36: 6-12

“Therefore prophesy concerning the land of Israel, and say to the mountains, the hills, the rivers, and the valleys, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I have spoken in My jealousy and My fury, because you have borne the shame of the nations.”

Therefore thus says the Lord God: “I have raised My hand in an oath that surely the nations that are around you shall bear their own shame.

But you, O mountains of Israel, you shall shoot forth your branches and yield your fruit to My people Israel, for they are about to come.

9 For indeed I am for you, and I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown.

10 I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, all of it; and the cities shall be inhabited and the ruins rebuilt.

11 I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bear young; I will make you inhabited as in former times, and do better for you than at your beginnings. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.

12 Yes, I will cause men to walk on you, My people Israel; they shall take possession of you, and you shall be their inheritance; no more shall you bereave them of children.”

God said He was going to bring Israel back into the land, and in 1948 this happened. A reading of Ezekiel 36-39 will detail what has already happened in our lifetime and what IS coming on Israel.

Now, lets look at yesterday.

The UN told Israel they cannot build in their land.  The old names are Judea and Jerusalem. What does God say about this?

Zechariah 12: 1-3

12 The burden[a] of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him:

“Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of drunkenness to all the surrounding peoples, when they lay siege against Judah and Jerusalem.

And it shall happen in that day that I will make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples; all who would heave it away will surely be cut in pieces, though all nations of the earth are gathered against it.

To the UN, I would say to be aware that your actions are against God Himself. You will lose.

Obama shafts Israel

NEW YORK DAILY NEWS
Saturday, December 24, 2016, 4:10 AM

Four weeks before he leaves the White House, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Barack Obama betrayed the principles of peace, the State of Israel and America’s values by letting a lynch mob at the United Nations mug the only democracy in the Mideast with a resolution that calls for no Jews to live in the Jewish Quarter of the Old City of Jerusalem or to pray at the Western Wall, the last remnant of the Second Temple of antiquity.

This obscenity, on the eve of Chanukah, when the ancient Israelites freed the Holy City and the Second Temple from pagans, should have been immediately vetoed by Israel’s ally, the United States. Instead, President Obama stood aside as the UN Security Council voted unanimously for a measure which has the force of international law.

Ostensibly aimed at Israeli settlements on the disputed West Bank, which should be subject to direct negotiations with the Palestinians, the text declaims that Israeli presence on “territory occupied since 1967, including East Jerusalem, has no legal validity and constitutes a flagrant violation under international law and a major obstacle to the achievement of the two-State solution and a just, lasting and comprehensive peace.”

In the real world outside the Turtle Bay nuthouse dominated by dictators and tyrants, a “just, lasting and comprehensive peace” will come only when, after decades of avoiding talks, Palestinians sit down with Israel and cut a deal.

It’s going to be hard for both sides, but Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and all of his predecessors back to 1948 have waited for an Arab partner. Netanyahu is still waiting. Now, the Palestinians and their weak, corrupt leader, Abu Mazen, will believe they will never have to negotiate since the UN has already decided.

Settlements are not the problem. The lack of peace is. And there is no peace because Netanyahu is sitting at the peace table by himself.

Instead of making a two-state future more likely, Obama has done the opposite.
While it’s true that only one President serves at a time, Donald Trump was absolutely right to demand a veto. As was the GOP leadership in Congress. As was Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer. But Obama and Secretary of State John Kerry, who is frustrated that he’s not going to get a Nobel Peace Prize to match Obama’s, didn’t care.

So Obama and Kerry broke with decades of American practice and let the wolves at Israel.
Israeli Ambassador Danny Danon, outnumbered and without even a vote, asked: “Would you ban the French from building in Paris?” But logic didn’t prevail. Illogic hatred for the Jewish state did.
Who cares that right next door to Israel in Syria, a bloodbath is displacing millions? It’s time to get the Jews because America has stood down.

Not everyone is unhappy. The terrorists of Hamas, who control Gaza like a prison, cheered: “We emphasize the need to turn such a resolution into action, not only to halt settlements but to eradicate Israel’s occupation in all its forms.”

That means, after Jerusalem is cleared of Jews, next up is Tel Aviv.

What a nice Chanukah gift from Obama to the people of Israel.

It is my prayer that God will not split our land like we just voted to split HIS land.

Remember we have a massive earthquake fault zone which runs smack dab in the middle of the US from the Gulf of Mexico to almost Canada.

The New Madrid Fault Zone

NEW MADRID:

Most of the major earthquakes in the world occur at tectonic plate boundaries where land masses are colliding or pushing past one another. But in the middle of the country lurks a geological enigma near New Madrid, Missouri, that has produced some of the largest quakes on record for the United States but has yet to be fully explained by scientists.

"It’s a big mystery," said geologist Eugene Schweig of the U.S. Geological Survey, who has studied the area for 23 years. "New Madrid is about as far from a plate boundary as you can get."

In 1811 and 1812, a swarm of at least three massive earthquakes struck near New Madrid, the largest of which exceeded a magnitude 8 and caused violent, damaging shaking in an area 10 times larger than did the 1906 earthquake. The quake was felt over an area of two million square miles — nearly two-thirds of the country.

During the quakes, the ground rose and fell, trees were bent, deep cracks opened up in the ground, large landslides swept down hills, huge waves washed boats out of the Mississippi River and river banks, islands and sand bars gave way.

We have played with fire, God have mercy on us.

I Get IT...Do You?

December 23, 2016

I Get It...Do You?

In the car business we would call it "scratching the record."

What that means is that if we had a customer who would get set on one thing or another in the purchasing of a vehicle, we would use SOMETHING to shake things up...or  to 'scratch the record.'

For those of us who actually used vinyl albums, you know that if you bump the turntable or mess with the cartridge arm, that would make a scratching noise that would get your mind off of your current fixation and move your attention to another area.

President Trump is scratching the record.

Look at his Cabinet picks.

Look at his tweets.

The President is trying...and succeeding I might add, to shake things up in Washington DC, the Media and most importantly, the world.

We have a President that is confident, and knows he will take A LOT of flak for not 'being one of the good ole boys.' However, he does what he feels is the right thing to do.

The thought here is that if you shake things up, then you have a better chance to put them back together the way you want.

Brilliant and the world doesn't get it.

Donald Trump’s Tweet Sets Up Jet Dogfight

President-elect suggests a Boeing plane could be used as substitute for Lockheed’s F-35 combat jet

Updated Dec. 22, 2016 7:09 p.m. ET

President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday continued his pressure on the defense sector by suggesting he could use a Boeing Co. plane as a substitute for the Lockheed Martin Corp. F-35 combat jet.

“Based on the tremendous cost and cost overruns of the Lockheed Martin F-35, I have asked Boeing to price-out a comparable F/A-18 Super Hornet!” he said in a tweet, referring to a Boeing plane that has long been used by the Navy and some overseas allies.

The Pentagon plans to acquire more than 2,400 of the F-35 jets to replace much of its combat fleet in what is by far its costliest program, and Mr. Trump has singled it out for criticism after a legacy of delays and design problems.

It is unusual for a president or a president-elect to publicly negotiate government procurement spending on weapons programs. Mr. Trump’s approach of negotiating via Twitter has shaken defense contractors and the complex defense bidding and procurement process. He has said he sees it as his job to try to save taxpayers money, but defense experts have said he is tackling a process that can’t be orchestrated in 140-character social media posts.

Daniel Gordon, who worked on government procurement issues for the Government Accountability Office for 17 years before becoming President Barack Obama’s administrator for federal procurement policy, said Mr. Trump cannot award government contracts without going through the formal competition and bidding process.

“The government would be violating the law to award a contract to Boeing without a competition [bidding process] unless they go through exceptions to the normal legal requirements for competition,” Mr. Gordon said, adding that this process would likely not qualify for any of the exceptions.

Pentagon officials have long said the two planes served very different roles, with the F-35 providing more radar-evading features and serving as an airborne command post. Variants of the F/A-18 are used as attack jets and to provide electronic countermeasures to protect U.S. forces.
Lt. Gen. Christopher Bogdan, the military head of the F-35 program, said this week that the capabilities of the F-35 couldn’t be diluted.

Lockheed shares fell 2% in after-hours trade, with Boeing up around 0.7%. The F-35 accounts for more than 20% of Lockheed’s annual sales. Mr. Trump met the chief executives of both companies on Wednesday.

The two jets have faced off to win contracts for overseas governments, with the F-35 prevailing in most of them.

However, Canada last month said it would order the Boeing jets after the government dropped plans launched by the previous administration to buy the F-35. The Lockheed plane will still be considered in a future contest to acquire more jets.

Boeing has long pressed the Navy to buy more F/A-18s.

“We have committed to working with the president-elect and his administration to provide the best capability, deliverability and affordability across all Boeing products and services to meet our national security needs,” the company said in a statement.

Boeing declined to comment on whether Mr. Trump had raised his request about the F/A-18 at his Wednesday meeting with Boeing CEO Dennis Muilenburg.

Lockheed Martin declined to comment and Pentagon officials didn’t immediately respond to a request

The F-35 entered service with the Marine Corp. in 2015 and with the Air Force earlier this year.
The Pentagon said the average cost of the model used by the Air Force has fallen to $102 million, though some budget watchdogs said this excludes some expenses such as fixing past design problems. Defense analysts estimate the F/A-18 costs $70 million to $80 million.

So now, the President tweets that the costs for the F35 are out of control, which they are. He is also aware that the F35 has some serious detractors, that the plane is slow, cant carry a decent weapons load and has limited fuel range...

So President Trump tweets that he is asking Boeing to give a cost breakdown of the F/A-18 Super Hornet versus the F35 Lightning.

The MSM goes bonkers.

Again the same people start slathering over Trumps inability to get along so to speak.
What they don't understand is that President Trump isn't out to get along. He could care less about getting along. He is interested in winning.

The President took Boeing to the woodshed in a tweet about Air Force One the other day, remember that?

Boeing is building a brand new 747 Air Force One for future presidents, but costs are out of control, more than $4 billion. Cancel order!

He tweeted that a new Air Force One program will cost 4 billion dollars, Too much, he said and to cancel the deal.

Then this happened;

After meeting with Trump, Boeing CEO says Air Force One won't cost $4 billion

Cancel the order!" Donald Trump, the incoming president of the United States, tweeted ominously about a contract with Boeing to build Air Force One, the state-of-the-art airplanes he and future presidents rely on.

It took a matter of hours for Boeing chief executive Dennis Muilenburg to get on the phone with the president-elect and smooth things over.

On Wednesday, two weeks after the kerfuffle, he made his way south to Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate to meet face to face.

Trump had slapped a $4 billion price tag on the program to build two more of the next generation of planes and he had pronounced it a waste.

Analysts said that while the Air Force had budgeted $2.7 billion for the Air Force One program, the costs would likely grow to about $4 billion after the planes were actually manufactured. The planes are expected to be operational by the mid-2020s.

The tweet shook the political and defense contracting worlds, as Trump challenged the aviation giant and threatened to pull a contract responsible for hundreds of American jobs.

But after his meeting with Trump on Wednesday, Muilenburg faced the media, hat in hand, so to speak.

"We're all focused on the same thing here, we're going to make sure that we give our warfighters the best capability in the world and that we do it in a way that is affordable for our taxpayers," Muilenburg said. "And his business head set around that is excellent. It was a terrific conversation. Got a lot of respect for him. He's a good man. And he's doing the right thing.

As for that $4 billion price tag, Muilenburg promised taxpayers would get a break - though by the time the contract is finished and the planes are flying, Trump is not likely to be still in office.

"We're going to get it done for less than that, and we're committed to working together to make sure that happens," he said. "And I was able to give the president-elect my personal commitment on behalf of the Boeing Company."

He scratched Boeing's record...and Boeing responded.

Lockheed Martin should take notice, as should Huntington Ingalls, who is building the extremely expensive and ridiculously delayed aircraft carrier Gerald R Ford.

To the Defense Industrial Complex...the days of screwing everyone over because you can...are numbered.

Condom sales rise in Beijing after smog 'red alert' shuts down city

Sales of condoms have shot up as Beijing is gripped by its first-ever red alert’ which has shutdown much of the city.

Ahead of this week's alert, Beijing had already been in a state of orange alert, meaning some construction and industry had been curbed.  Beijing also issued a ruling that said cars with odd and even number plates would be stopped from driving on alternate days.

The ‘red alert’ has aimed to close schools and limit construction and other industry in the capital.
Smog ‘red alert’ which has shutdown much of the city.

There has been a rise in online orders for the contraception after many parts of the city were closed to protect people from its deadly air earlier this week, the Times of India reports.

The newspaper said that, according to search ratings provided for the week by China's largest online shopping platform Taobao.com, searches for condoms correlated with Chinese cities with heavy smog.

In Beijing and some other heavily polluted northern cities, the rise in condom orders surpassed those in cities with cleaner air.

Sales of face masks reportedly increased to the point where many outlets were completely out of stock, while sales of sportswear also saw a boost during the severe smog.

The air in Beijing is packed with poisonous particles that mean that people could become ill simply from being outside.

Air pollution monitors showed areas of the city had more than 256 micrograms per cubic metre of the poisonous particles, with the World Health Organisation (WHO) warning that anything over 25 micrograms is considered unsafe.

The poisonous smog in Beijing is caused by the burning of coal for industry and heating, and huge amounts of dust from the city’s many construction sites. The problem is being made yet worse by high humidity and low wind.

So here we are in the West, now with a pro business president, and THIS is our competition.

It's obvious that the Chinese Communist govt. doesn't give a squat about their citizens. That's ok, unless you happen to be a medical insurance company in China.

I feel for these people, I really do, I cannot imagine not being able to see the sky, or to have to wear a mask whenever Im outside.

Chinas Displeasure With The US...Say It Aint So.

This next article is something Im sure we will be seeing more of as time goes on. That is, Chinas displeasure with us. In other words China will use our businesses against us.

President Trump, I don't think will dance around this subject lightly. The big lobbyists are Boeing, General Motors, Apple and Farm equipment manufacturers.

Do you see the position we are in? Our politicians cringe every time "Jobs" are being parries with "national interests", and in the past, they have caved.

Peter Navarro is our new Trade Council head. He also authored a book Death by China. Evidently this work so impressed President Trump that he made this choice.

So, what about Apple Iphone made in the USA?

Hundai, Nissan, Mercedes Benz, BMW and other Asian manufacturers have made the southern US their manufacturing base for the American Market.

Why not Apple?

Beijing considers retaliatory steps after Trump appoints China trade skeptic Peter Navarro

By
Mark Magnier
Dec. 22, 2016 5:09 a.m. ET
BEIJING—China’s government issued a measured response on Thursday to Donald Trump’s naming of a China trade skeptic to oversee American trade and industrial policy, as it weighed how to approach the U.S. president-elect’s threats of a confrontation over trade.

“China like every other country is closely watching the policy direction the U.S. is going to take,” said a Foreign Ministry spokeswoman on Thursday, without mentioning the nominee’s name. “Cooperation is the only right choice for both sides.”

Mr. Trump named Peter Navarro on Wednesday to head the National Trade Council, a newly created White House office. Mr. Navarro, a Trump campaign advisor and University of California professor, has argued that China’s accession to the World Trade Organization in 2001 halved American economic growth and cost it 70,000 manufacturing jobs.

He urges the U.S. and its allies to sharply reduce imports from China to deprive it of resources and to curb the country’s militaristic outlook. Otherwise, “we will have only ourselves to blame when the bullets and missiles begin to fly,” he wrote in his latest book.

Mr. Navarro’s appointment—and the Trump team’s threats to name China a currency manipulator and to erect high tariffs against it—drew fire in China outside official circles. Their rhetoric is based on “wrong ideas,” said Cheng Dawei, a Renmin University of China economics professor and former trade advisor to Beijing. But “China won’t make the first move.”

She said that China was using the time before the new administration takes power to collect evidence should it need to launch retaliatory trade cases against the U.S. “China is now preparing some weapons,” Ms. Cheng said. China’s Commerce Ministry “is quite busy now, I’m sure.”
Tough U.S. steps against China would likely prompt calibrated retaliatory moves by Beijing, economists and foreign trade analysts said.

“This is China’s style, not to announce it but just do it,” said Gary Hufbauer, a former Treasury official and fellow at the Peterson Institute for International Economics. “Their objective will be to parry what Trump does with targeted reprisals in areas of U.S. vulnerability.”

Among China’s likely targets, say trade experts: Boeing Co. aircraft and U.S. farm exports from Midwestern Republican states. Canceled Boeing orders would hurt U.S. shareholders, labor unions and the U.S. trade deficit, prompting pressure on the new administration, said Derek Scissors, an economist at data provider China Beige Book International. As of last month, China is awaiting delivery of 292 Boeing jets.

Blocking soybean or other U.S. food exports would prompt action by Republican Senators whose constituents lack a large manufacturing base, Mr. Scissors added. China expects to import 86 million tons of soybeans in the 2016-2017 season, including 30 million tons from the U.S.

Beijing also could look to pressure U.S. multinationals such as General Motors Co., which relies on China as its largest sales market. “Some companies that already invest in China, we’re likely to push them to lobby Trump,” Ms. Cheng said.
Less clear is how much the Trump administration would respond to any U.S. multinational lobbying. Mr. Navarro in his latest book blames such companies as Boeing, Apple Inc. and GM for moving production to China to take advantage of its “illegal subsidies, sweatshop labor, tax loopholes and lack of environmental controls.”

Mr. Trump on Wednesday met in Palm Beach, Fla., with the chief executives of Boeing and Lockheed Martin Corp. to discuss in part ways to lower the costs of building a new Air Force One plane for the president-elect and future jet fighters.

To retaliate, China also could make use of informal trade barriers—making health claims against American food products, for example—that are highly technical and difficult to counter in the WTO but hurt U.S. exporters, some experts said. The U.S., Japan and Europe use similar non-trade barriers.
Trade battles between the world’s two largest economies would hurt both sides, economists said. When the U.S. slapped tariffs on imports of Chinese tires in 2009, it saved up to 1,200 jobs, according to a Peterson Institute study. But it cost U.S. consumers around $1.1 billion, or around $900,000 per job, in higher tires prices in 2011 and cut retail spending in other areas, leading to an overall loss of 2,500 jobs, the institute calculated. China, meanwhile, retaliated by blocking U.S. chicken exports, leading to $1 billion in lost U.S. sales.

“Even if U.S. companies move back to the U.S., it doesn’t mean manufacturing jobs will come back since U.S. companies will use automation to save money,” said Ms. Cheng, who said she hopes Mr. Navarro can visit China to bolster his understanding. “This policy is against the world economic trend,” she added.

My comment...Yes Ms Cheng, this move will cost alot of money to the manufacturers, and yes we will use the state of the art manufacturing techniques. We will also train our people to operate these factories, and there by creating AMERICAN jobs. Jobs that give people the opportunity to buy homes, cars, clothes and yes to pay taxes.

I'll buy a $700 Iphone made in the US over a $400 made in China every day.

That's how I roll Ms Cheng.
