The Battle Lines Are Drawn

Yesterday The Main Stream Media was meeting with President Elect Trump at Trump Tower. Dont think you will see this on NBC or CNN. The executives and reporters thought they were there to get an outline for future TV/Network coverage.

Instead they got this.....

President-elect Donald Trump met with top reporters and anchors from mainstream media outlets at Trump Tower on Monday, where he reportedly admonished them for their biased coverage during the presidential race.

The meeting was reportedly “off the record,” but a source told the New York Post that the scene was reminiscent of a “firing squad.”
The New York Post reports:
President-elect Donald Trump exploded at media bigs in an off-the-record Trump Tower powow on Monday, sources told The Post.
“It was like a f—ing firing squad,” said one source.
“Trump started with Jeff Zucker and said I hate your network, everyone at CNN is a liar and you should be ashamed….
“The meeting was a total disaster. The TV execs and anchors went in there thinking they would be discussing the access they would get to the Trump administration, but instead they got a Trump-style dressing down,” the source added.

This is totally different for the networks, as they have been part and parcel of the propaganda spewing from the Obama Administration and the recent Clinton campaign.

If you will recall that when Obama was first inaugurated, he hired a number of journalists. This set the tone for the next 8 years. The MSM has carried Obamas agenda without any critique.
The word 'propaganda'  comes to mind.

Next up on the media meeting list was the New York Times. That meeting was promptly changed and cancelled. I guess they had rather avoid the butt chewing they richly deserved.

Here's the thing. This is something that the MSM just doesn't get. Trump was voted in BECAUSE of the actions of the MSM. Everybody in American can see exactly what is going on...except the MSM.

Its a blindness, that is not uncommon. When Jesus walked among us, he taught truths. When He taught, he gave examples in Parables, stories designed to showcase what He was trying to get across. Those people who could understand, got it. He would also say something like, "Those who have ears to hear" meaning, sometimes a plain story gets overlooked or misunderstood.

I have a 10 year old son who loves video games. If he is in the midst of a game and I ask him to do something, like take out the garbage, he will nod and say OK....but immediately go back to the game and forget his mandate to take out the garbage.

The MSM is on the lookout for a boogeyman villain to blame for their candidates loss. Do you see the conflict here? The MSM should have NO candidate. They should be unbiased, they should be able to present without bigotry and prejudice the news. IF the MSM has a candidate, they will inherently be biased towards that person and against any challenger. 

The Wiki Leaks emails regarding the Clinton attacks on Bernie Sanders is a case in point.

So now the initial battle is underway. The battle for the minds and control of the American people. We as 'consumers' of news and media, need to be on our toes and not to be deceived or sidetracked by them.

The next battle is also forming up...that is the battle for our money.

A Legacy

The warm fuzzy talk over the past couple of months has been President Obama's Legacy.

To be sure, this means what will he be known throughout history as.

Will he be counted among the great men who led this nation through hard times like Depressions? or Wars? Or will he be scornfully remembered for scandal?

How will history view Obama? We do have a medical plan called Obama Care. Heck, even President Obama calls it Obama Care. Kind of strange if you ask me, as its true name is The Affordable Care Act.

Will Obama build a monumental library to himself, like other Presidents have done?

We can be sure that like the Clinton Clan, the Obama's will do all they can to influence and sway our thoughts and historical facts.

I ran across this image this morning, and am using it from Dinesh D'Souza and his film Obamas America.

This graph, and the resultant electorial win of Donald Trump clearly shows WHY the Republican won.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is telling.

This is a image of our financials, but what about our spiritual debt?

Has any president EVER tried as hard as Obama to force a religion on a nation? Obamas obeisance to Islam is undeniable. Wait, it is deniable according to the Liberal Main Stream Media. Who according to them, Obama is a good ole boy Christian.

Obama Says America is the #1 Muslim Countries of The World

Obama calls the US a large Muslim nation, Obama also said earlier that the US was not a Christian nation, though there is an 80% demographic that considers itself Christian. Now, after bowing down to the Muslim kind of Saudi Arabia, Obama claims the US Muslim population is one of the largest in the world making it a Muslim nation.

The past week is just that, past.

We have had 10 days to revel in the hopes of the next 4 years. We are seeing the promises made during this bitter campaign being kept.

We have all heard the crying and lamenting from the Liberal Left. We have seen the MSM (Main Stream Media) promote stories comparing President Elect Donald Trump to Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot and yes Satan himself. 

The MSM is guilty beyond measure. If the Liberal Lefties wanted to look at someone to blame, look no further than the Media. The Media, said with all of their authority, over and over, that Hillary was going to win. Why would the LL (Liberal Left) not believe them?

For those of us who claim our God, we KNOW that this election is merely temporary. It is a beautiful sunny day between storms. Gods grace is so beautifully evident and so uncalled for that to claim otherwise is as blind as the LL and MSM.

Lets look at the evidence;

God told His Prophets to pass a message along to the nation Israel. That message was this; due to the nations rejection of God, and their disobedience, He was going to scatter the people around the world and remove the nation Israel from the land. Bad news for Israel, yet God gave them opportunity after opportunity to repent or turn back towards Him, they refused and God kept His promise.

Israel ceased to exist after approx 100 A.D. However, Gods second part of His promise was that He would re-gather His children Israel, after their punishment.

About 600 years before Jesus came, God showed a Prophet Ezekiel a message, a vision of the future. This vision showed God miraculously breathing life back to a wasted nation, a deserted land, and breathing life back to a lifeless people. Read Ezekiel 36 -38

For almost 2,000 years the message of God was given to the Gentiles. A Gentile is a non-Jew, and is not broken down into the classifications we like to use. If you aren't Jewish then you are a Gentile. The Gentiles were tasked to spread the Word of forgiveness and new life in Christ. However, we were told that our time, the time of the Gentiles, is temporary.

You see, God is not finished with the Jew, quite the opposite.

1948 saw Israel become a nation again. If anyone says there is no God, just point them to this one miraculous well prophesied fact, the nation of Israel.

God says in exquisite detail, HOW the world will look at the time of the end. Israel will be back into the land, He will draw Jews from all over the world back to Israel, He will restore their original language, He will make the desert bloom and prepare the land for this massive influx of people.

This is happening now, we are witnesses to Gods fulfilled promise.

We are also going to witness Gods judgment of the nations that have oppressed, harassed and harmed Israel. In Ezekiel ch 38, God details this future battle between Russia, Iran, Turkey and a few others versus Israel.

Ezekiel Ch 38 is the next big event. God says He will take them all out, and it will be evident it was Him and not Israel. Personally my heart is heavy for those millions and millions of peoples who are fighting against Almighty God and His chosen people Israel.

That hasn't changed from our recent elections. I think we all could have seen that event taking place any day. But thankfully, prayerfully, and mercifully is may be postponed for a brief heavenly minute. But make no mistake it will happen.

Please make your peace with God. He is not accepting any other peace offer than thru His Son Jesus. Jesus paid the price we all owe. All you have to do is accept it.

10 years ago, our daughter Abigail had a problem. This problem was so dramatic, that it effected our families dynamic during certain times

I'll explain. My daughter, who pranced around everywhere she went, and was the total focus of attention. Abigail could not go anywhere unless she was dressed to the 9's. For the most part my wife and I loved how she was showing her independence in dress.

However there was a time where, we experienced a total meltdown. This happened whenever we played games. If we played Candyland, or card games or any other games...if Abby did not win, she came unhinged and completely unreasonable.

My wife and I have never witnessed anything like this. It became so bad that games ceased to exist in our family for the next 10 years. Now things have changed since she has gotten older and more mature.

I was thinking that this is the same phenomena as what the Liberal left is going thru with President Elect Trumps victory. The crying, chest beating, nonrational elaborations, and general depressions are what a 5 year old who didnt get her way experience.

The author is comparing President Trumps win as a horror to the millions of Christians who voted enthusiastically for Donald Trump.

This is typical of the liberal Left who view The Lord Jesus as a cosmic Santa Type who has nothing harsh to say to anyone and accepts everyone and everything as long as you are happy.

Its this sickening sweet saccharine false doctrine that where you'll stand for anything, except what The Lord Himself has said in His Word The Bible.

I challenge the Liberals who are now questioning everything to open the Bible and read for yourselves exactly what Jesus DID SAY. Find the verses where Jesus endorsed lawlessness, where He promoted abortion, where he encouraged drug use, welcomed and endorsed homosexuality and when all else failed, rioted.

I'll be interested in knowing what your Biblical stance is. I'll post this on Salon and give the author an opportunity to elaborate.

November Confusion

The November Elections in the USA is past. The fallout is epic.

What we saw last week was nothing short of Pearl Harbor/9/11 shock.  Since then the liberal left has expressed their anger and hate by rioting and pledging to disrupt everything the new President has won.

How did the news media miss this? The answer is simple. They set themselves up for failure. Look at the polls for example. When you have people in the cue to poll from, people that you have selected, then you are trying to reach a certain conclusion. Not the conclusion that will happen, but one that the pollsters WANT to happen.

This mistake is one of many.

The winners have one thing that the polls or "experts" downplay and ignore, that is prayer. Our pleading with our God, and the ability to act, has ignited our nation.

The road to normalcy is going to be a painful and long road. The liberal left, who's minds are what the Bible says is "reprobate", are mindlessly attacking anything and everything Conservatives and Christians stand for.

Jesus's words are no truer than they are right now;

Matthew 24:1-7

24 Then Jesus went out and departed from the temple, and His disciples came up to show Him the buildings of the temple. ² And Jesus said to them, “Do you not see all these things? Assuredly, I say to you, not one stone shall be left here upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

³ Now as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”
⁴ And Jesus answered and said to them: “Take heed that no one deceives you.

⁵ For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.

⁶ And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not troubled; for all^[a] these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. ⁷ For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences,^[b] and earthquakes in various places.

⁸ All these are the beginning of sorrows.
Lets have a closer look at this. Jesus told His Disciples of the destruction of Temple and Jerusalem. This took place in AD70, exactly as He said it would.

Jesus is asked next, the logical question "When?"

Jesus's reply is nothing but curious. Notice He didnt say, 1985 or 1427 or a specific year, but He did give a clue to the end time picture. Jesus said "Take heed that no one deceives you?"

So the end time will have a characteristic of deception.

The end time will also have the characteristic of religious deception. 

The end time will have the characteristic of hearing about wars and rumors of wars, and the logical assumption is that there WILL be wars and rumors of wars. 

The end times will have the characteristic of nation rising against nation and kingdom against kingdom. The Greek word for nation is 'Ethnos', it is the root word for 'Ethnic'

The end times will have the characteristic of famine and of pestilences (disease) and earthquakes.

Is there any doubt that we are in the end times?

Will any politician 'save us' from this time and the reality we will soon experience? No, Gods judgment is sure and it is just...in other words God has determined that anyone/and group/any nation that transgresses His Righteous law will be judged according to His perfect law.

I do believe that God can postpone judgment according to His will, and He also has provided a way for His creation to escape His judgment.

I cant speak for God and postponing of His judgment, but I can speak of His provision to ESCAPE judgment. In old times, God required a Blood Sacrifice to be paid to satisfy His judgment. This Blood Sacrifice wasn't meant to clean ones personal sin, but to cover it up. Kinda like sweeping dirt under the rug. It doesn't get rid of the dirt, just covers it up.

What is really needed it a Blood Sacrifice so powerful that it will CLEAN ONCE AND FOR ALL a persons sin. God provided such a sacrifice...in His Son Jesus.

Jesus came to this Earth as a human, lived a human life WITHOUT sin, and was killed according to the Scriptures. This amazing Man, who is also God, rose again as death had no hold on Him. That means Jesus lives to this very day, and just as He foretold all that is coming on us, He also gave us (those who believe in Him) the promise that He will return, and will take us with him.

Its really not complicated. If you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, and can say with your mouth Jesus Is Lord...you will be saved. That's a promise that will not be broken. Romans 10:9

I know we live in confusing times. Times of deception, war, disease, famine and natural disasters like earthquakes. If you want to experience TRUE PEACE, accept Gods provision for you. You will not regret it.

I really like this image. I got it off of Pinterest and as is usual with a site like Pinterest, the original photographer is lost with so many people 'Pinning' the photo. My apologies and I would love to give credit to the photographer. If I do find the photographer, I'll update this post.

I mixed the media with this.I used a mix of watercolor wash and watercolor pencils. I really like how the two worked out together, and am looking forward to doing more.

Making a Sign from Pallet Wood

Its my hope to help you with this project. Each sign is about a days work, which you can spread out over time.

I started out by taking my reciprocating saw, some people call them 'Sawzall's'. Thats not a correct name and would be like calling a facial tissue 'Kleenex'. Anyway I find that the reciprocating saw works best for removing boards from the pallet. Ive made other signs using larger pieces of wood from pallets, something like this:

However for this I wanted to do something different. My original intent was to make a 12-14" square wood base with stenciling and paint something on it to give some pop. Well, it didn't work out that way. First of all I had never painted before so, that was new. Then I didn't know what finish to go with.

A couple of months ago I read a story about using vinegar and steel wool to age wood. The story specifically said that the vinegar would change color as the solution developed. Mine didn't. I used a quart Ball jar and the solution was as clear as water. So, I didn't bother with it.

Fast forward and now I had some fresh boards, which you could tell were fresh. So I decided to use this vinegar, and had no hope that it would work. I was so wrong, it worked beautifully.

Ok, so here's the process so far. I took 3 14"scrap boards, and joined them using a doweling jig and 5/16th's dowels, and Titebond wood glue. When the glue dried, I power sanded using a belt sander and a hand sander.

 

Next I applied the vinegar solution and let it dry.

Next I changed my mind...lol. I decided that I could make something different, so I planned on cutting the original board in two. I also decided that I would whitewash the finish.

The whitewash was simply a white paint I used from Home Depot. I took a couple a couple table spoons and added water to make a runny slurry. Taking a old small piece of rag I washed the board, then wiped it down. I did this twice and the finish turned out great.

Now for the moment of truth. I bought some acrylic paints and started learning how to paint. The font I used for the lettering is called Papyrus.

Revelation The Last Days

So on History Channel is a two part series called Revelation, The Last Days.

Lately there have been so many programs on the final time that we here on Earth are facing. Even if you don't believe in God, you cannot deny that everything is changing. Some feel that things are getting worse, and some feel that everything is getting better.

God's viewpoint is that of Good vs Evil. The End of Days.

Im not going to be too critical of History Channel for this, there are some major omissions, but from their "media standpoint". The biggest thing I see is that they use the Bible to portray their show, and kudos to them for that, but they miss the real reason of "Revelation".

Revelation means Unveiling. This is the Unveiling of Jesus Christ. Gods judgement on sinful unbelieving mankind and the bringing forth of the New World and our new King.

Sounds fearful, weird, horrible and strange to those do not have a faith and belief in Jesus Christ. That doesn't diminish the truth one whit.

The entire Bible funnels down to this Unveiling....believe it or not...here it comes.

Its another New Year. 2015 to be exact, and I have the feeling that this year will be more than we can keep up with.

Im going to redo this blog and add things that are more Christ centered, and home centered.
